Lindbergh, Charles August   The Economic Pinch.     Publisher: Philadelphia: Dorrance, [1923].  First edition. 249 pages. Bound in maroon cloth with black stamped lettering and rules to the spine and front board.  Hardcover The author, father of the famous pilot Charles A. Lindbergh, began his political career as a progressive Republican, representing Minnesota's 6th congressional district from 1907 to 1917. Noted for his support for farmers, wage laborers and small business owners and for public ownership of some industries, and for his opposition to the 1913 Federal Reserve Act and the country's entry into World War I, he later left the Republican Party and ran for office with support of the Non-Partisan League. He also was involved in the formation of Minnesota's Farmer-Labor Party. He died in 1924 during his campaign for governor of Minnesota.  With the ownership inscription of noted Deephaven figure H.J. Burton.  Some marks to cover.
