ORIGNAL hand written notes
by Commandant W.J. BRENNAN-Whitmore - FOURTEEN pages of hand written notes for a talk by Brennan-Whitmore "Should Ireland Leave the Sterling Area?". Written on cut down half pages with further unconnected notes on the reverse including fragments of signed letters by Brennan-Whitmore.
W J Brennan-Whitmore was Michael Collinsís chief
intelligence officer after being interned with him at Frongoch. He joined Sinn
Fein in 1910 was active in the Irish Volunteers in North Wexford and fought at
North Earl Street in the 1916 Rising. He has been written out of Irish history
possibly because he contributed to several ultra nationalist anti-Semitic
journals. He was a prolific correspondent writing regular diatribes against the
European Union in the Irish Catholic.
Brennan-Whitmore was the last managing director of An t”glach, the
official journal of the old IRA and the National Army. Brennan Whitmore was also involved with
the "The NSIWP - The National
Socialist Irish Workers Party run in the 1970s by Commander Terry Byrne, 6 St.
Brendan's Cottages, Ringsend, Dublin, along with Terry Flynn (Dublin), Joss
Mussche (former Dutch SS WW11),
