Erwin Baur, Eugen Fischer and Fritz Lenz - Menschliche Erblichkeitslehre und Rassenhygiene

Erwin Baur, Eugen Fischer and Fritz Lenz - Menschliche Erblichkeitslehre und Rassenhygiene.  J.F. Lehmann's Verlag, Berlin,  1936 & 1932 editions .    795 & 589pp. illus.  In 1921, the respected scientists Erwin Baur, Eugen Fischer and Fritz Lenz jointly published the two-volume work "Grundriss der menschlichen Erblichkeitslehre und Rassenhygiene" (Outline of Human Hereditary Theory and Racial Hygiene), which appeared in 5 editions until 1941 and quickly became the standard work on racial hygiene in Germany. Between 1921 and 1941, the book was reviewed by Baur, Fischer and Lenz in many domestic and foreign journals. 323 of the published reviews have been systematically processed and provide a representative picture of the contemporary reception of the work. With their "Menschlichen Erblichkeitslehre und Rassenhygiene", Baur, Fischer and Lenz created a "Heredity Charter" which became the basis of racial hygiene efforts in Germany. The work established itself as a standard work long before racial hygiene became a state ideology.  VG copies, with volume 2 in dust wrapper.  Some previous owners names, crossed out.  Also a contemporary brochure featuring Hans .F.K Gunther + a bookmark and a note by Alistair Harper.
